Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Campaign Advertising Guidelines and Pledge

Candidates seeking to fill Pennsylvania appellate court seats are asked to sign a “Judicial Candidate’s Pledge,” promising to adhere to campaign advertising guidelines that promote fair and dignified campaigns.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association Judicial Campaign Advertising Committee is charged with investigating judicial advertising complaints made by one candidate against another and with determining if the complaint has merit. If the committee determines that corrective action is needed but is not taken by the candidate, the committee can make that information public.
